Peter Frank is a Philadelphia-based composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist with saxophone as his primary instrument.  In 2019, he graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA with a B.M. in instrumental performance.  During college some of Peter’s teachers included Ron Kerber, Norman David, Dave Thomas, and Mark Allen.  For the four years Peter was in college, he played in the University of the Arts Z Big Band.  The band won the 2017 Next Generation Jazz Festival and then performed at the 2017 Monterey Jazz Festival.  Playing in the Z Big Band gave Peter the opportunity to share the stage with such notable players as Gerald Veasley, Joey DeFrancesco, Robin Eubanks, Brad and Elliot Mason, and Christian McBride.

Peter currently is the bandleader and sole writer for the 17-piece Peter Frank Orchestra, which he formed late in 2019.  The band performs regularly in Philadelphia, playing Peter’s original compositions and arrangements of jazz standards.
